Obama-Clinton talks

Democratic hopeful Barack Obama has had an unannounced meeting with his defeated rival Hillary Clinton. The talks came two days after Mr Obama effectively clinched the nomination for November’s US presidential election. A spokesman for Mr Obama said the two former opponents met to talk about bringing their campaigns together and uniting the party.

Mrs Clinton has distanced herself from reports that she was hoping to stand as a vice-presidential running mate. The last-minute meeting in Washington came after Mr Obama spent the day campaigning in the Republican stronghold of Virginia - a signal that he is now targeting voters who might be drawn to Republican presumptive nominee John McCain. Mr Obama held large rallies in the state. Intense pressure The Illinois senator, under intense pressure from Clinton backers to choose her as his running mate, has announced a team to help him make his selection and said he will not be rushed. Campaign aides said little about the meeting, which a Democratic source told ABC News was held at the Washington home of senior Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Hillary Clinton will thank her supporters on Saturday and endorse Obama But reports say the two have put teams in place to handle communications between their respective camps in the coming days. Senator Feinstein has said that a joint-ticket for the presidency would be a route to pulling together the pair’s diverse constituencies. On Tuesday Mrs Clinton said she would be “open” to the idea of being Mr Obama’s running mate. But a statement from the Clinton campaign on Thursday said: “While Senator Clinton has made clear throughout this process that she will do whatever she can to elect a Democrat to the White House, she is not seeking the vice presidency.” It adds: “The choice here is Senator Obama’s and his alone.” The BBC’s Andy Gallacher in Washington says that if Mr Obama were to choose her as his running mate, this could be seen as a tactical move to win over the almost 18m people who cast their votes for Senator Clinton. But, our correspondent adds, Mr Obama has said it may be some time before he picks a running mate. Tribute Earlier, in an email to supporters, Mrs Clinton said she would hold an event in Washington on Saturday to thank supporters and congratulate Mr Obama and extend her “support for his candidacy”.

“This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans,” she said.

I am a better candidate because of the work she did

“I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama.”

Since the close of the primary season on Tuesday, Mr Obama has paid tribute to Mrs Clinton and hinted that she would play a role in any future Obama administration. At a rally in Bristow in northern Virginia on Thursday, he told a large crowd he was “a better candidate because of the work she did”. “Whatever differences exist between me and Hillary Clinton, they pale into insignificance in comparison with those that exist between us and the other side,” he added.

Correspondents say Democrats sense an opportunity in Virginia, despite the 44 years since one of their nominees won the state in a presidential election. Mr McCain has challenged Mr Obama to take part in debates in 10 town hall meetings before the Democratic convention in August. The Obama team is said to be considering the invitation.

How to Trace an IP Address

How to Trace an IP Address

Whenever you get online, your computer is assigned an IP address. If you connect through the router, all of the computers on that network will share a similar Internet Protocol address; though each computer on the network will have a unique INTRAnet address. An IP address is the Internet Protocol (IP) address given to every computer connected to the Internet. An IP address is needed to send information, much like a street address or P.O. box is needed to receive regular mail. Tracing an IP address is actually pretty straightforward, and even though it’s not always possible to track down a specific individual, you can get enough information to take action and file a complaint.Steps
Find the IP number you wish to check. The format of an IP address is numeric, written as four numbers separated by periods. Each number can be zero to 255.

To find the IP of an e-mail sent to you, investigate the message’s “headers” by using your e-mail program’s “details” or “properties” function. For example, in Outlook Express, select “Properties” from the “File” Menu, or just press ALT+Enter. Next, select the “Details” tab. In Yahoo, click “Full headers” on the upper right hand corner while you see the message. In Hotmail, go to “Mail Display Settings” and set “Message Headers” to “Full” or “Advanced”. See this website for more information on viewing headers.

Go to a website that will allow you to look up IP address information. See External Links below. Type the IP number in the input box and submit.

Understand that in many situations you will learn a few things about the IP address:
Which internet service provider (ISP) the user is using. In some cases this may be the user’s company (e.g. Ford.com). In other cases it may be just one of the large ISPs such as ATT or Comcast.
The approximate physical location of the user (e.g. Palo Alto, California.)

Recognize that usually you will not learn the actual name of the person doing at that IP address (e.g. Joe Smith). ISPs will typically only release such information under a court order.

Tips
Another way–if you are using a Windows computer–to find out some information about someone is to go to Command Prompt (if you do not know how to do that, go to the Start menu, Run, and type “cmd” and press OK) and type in tracert . On UNIX (including Linux and OS X), open a shell and use the command tracerouteWarnings

It is not always possible to find out someone’s exact address from this. People can take extreme measures to remain anonymous (even forging e-mails). Your search may just result in knowing the company that the person gets their Internet connection from. You can report abuse to that company, but it’s not likely they’ll divulge contact information for the individual without a court order.
If you are being harassed or you are concerned about your safety, file a complaint with your local police authorities. If you traced the IP address through an e-mail, give them a copy of the e-mail with detailed headers showing.

A poem for Madame President

A solider, who is deeply hurt over the latest developments, posted his grievances in the form of a poem.

It was an open letter to President Dr. Pratibha Patil. We have decided to publish his sentiment and pain without any editing. We hope that someone takes notice of the grievances of our soldiers who fight selflessly for their motherland, but get little for their sacrifice.

Dear Madame President,

Should I severe the ties that are almost a decade strong?
Should I chew my words and call my decision wrong?
Should I return the trousseau that my mother chose?
Should I turn all the festivities into an affair morose?
Should I go and tell him that I love him no more,
Shattering him again and making his heart sore?

Whose fault is it, dear madame that I decide thus?
Would you say that it’s personal and I should not fuss?
Nothing, my dear lady, is personal about a soldier’s life.
For when has he thought of his mom, dad, kid and wife?
He, whose only call is the call of honour, forgets what he was
And becomes what he’s forced to be- a number among the Olive Green mass.

He demands nothing and goes about in silence.
Drinking and smoking, when clouds of desolation grow dense.
His mother awaits him and calls up time and again,
He switches off the phone to avoid that voiced pain.
His friends ask him to come (along with two Black Labels)
And see their plush houses and read therein their success’ tales.

His wife will wait for months to get some surgery done
As, in that dilapidated SF, caring enough she finds none.
She would remember sadly her starry-eyed days
When what attracted her was his gallant ways.
Never did she realize, that foregoing her Doctorate in the UK
All she would get is this battered house, stale ration and his meager pay.

He was no less- in fact, better than some now white-collared ones.
Only, he thought romantically as one of Mother India’s sons,
And chose the call letter from IMA, among several others,
And avowed his commitment to his land and his brothers.
He did push ups, while his colleagues abroad partied
His cousins wore designer labels, while he a ‘combat’ dirtied.

He is unlikely to accompany his wife to that family function
Where she goes alone and starts crying from the junction.
‘Coz how would she face her friends and cousins and siblings,
Who would judge her attire, and other material things?
She never was a hedonist, but now she feels the pain
And curses the day when he ceased to remain ’sane’.

For what else is this, if not utter insanity?
That he sacrifices his dreams at the altar of others’ vanity.
He sleeps in trenches along with his boys,
And yet unable to buy his kids’ favourite toys.
His kids are born and brought up in his absence
And he kisses their wallet-ed photos in silence.

For the first time, he demanded a share of what he deserves:
An agonized plea to the heads of the land he serves.
The petition goes from table to table, round and round
And he stands still, awaiting good, as if spellbound.
Someone, then, accuses him of hedonism and greed
And lists what he gets, and how it surpasses his need.

He feels cheated and in humiliation decides to take the call
To hang his starred uniform, once and for all.
But will he be able to carry through this decision?
After all, it was he who chose a Permanent commission!
When he decided to join, he overcome all resistance,
But when he decides to quit, he stands a bleak chance.

Why should I, then, be a fool and marry another?
Who, like his band of brothers, will find me a bother!
Why should I let go of my dreams to fuel his self-destructive fire,
When the nation that he serves will find no time to light his pyre?
Why should I, along with him, bear the burden that others discard,
And sacrifice all I have to be called an ‘emotional retard’?

Why should I not confront him and say-
‘I don’t want to marry you because you cant nay
What your seniors orders, even if lay here dying.
I don’t want to spend my life waiting for you crying.
I get hurt to see the attitude of the unsympathetic crowd
To ensure whose sleep, your commitment is clear and loud.
They begrudge you, your little pay hike,
This would enable you to buy your coveted bike.
Who weigh your life in an imbalanced scale,
And choose to ignore the path of hardships you trail.’

This is how every young lady, who is in love with or betrothed to an Army officer, is bound to feel in the wake of the uncertainties surrounding the sixth pay commission. The ladies serve the organization in their own way WITHOUT being on the payrolls. They leave their careers and individuality behind to become a pillar to their men folk. With transfers every three years, forced separations and agonizing civilian apathy, the ladies are forced to limit their horizons. Does it not make sense, then, to shun the Army personnel altogether in the marriage market Pardon me for my sarcasm.

My dear Madame, I entreat you on the behalf of thousand others to look into the welfare of our men in uniform. They demand nothing but a share of what they truly deserve. The delay in declaring and implementing the revised pay recommendations for the forces is taking its toll. Being the Supreme Commander of our forces, it is in your purview to safeguard the interests of those who serve this nation unconditionally. Above all, being a woman you are likely to understand the sufferings of the families. I would refrain from using jargon and end my plea with folded hands.

Thanking You.
A soldier’s betrothed

About computer and software!

About computer and software!

Computer software is so called to distinguish it from computer hardware, which encompasses the physical interconnections and devices required to store and execute (or run) the software. In computers, software is loaded into RAM and executed in the central processing unit. At the lowest level, software consists of a machine language specific to an individual processor. A machine language consists of groups of binary values signifying processor instructions which change the state of the computer from its preceding state. Software is an ordered sequence of instructions for changing the state of the computer hardware in a particular sequence. It is usually written in high-level programming languages that are easier and more efficient for humans to use (closer to natural language) than machine language. High-level languages are compiled or interpreted into machine language object code. Software may also be written in an assembly language, essentially, a mnemonic representation of a machine language using a natural language alphabet. Assembly language must be assembled into object code via an assembler.

The term “software” was first used in this sense by John W. Tukey in 1958. In computer science and software engineering, computer software is all computer programs. The theory that is the basis for most modern software was first proposed by Alan Turing in his 1935 essay Computable numbers with an application to the Entscheidungsproblem.

Practical computer systems divide software systems into three major classes: system software, programming software and application software, although the distinction is arbitrary, and often blurred.

* System software helps run the computer hardware and computer system. It includes operating systems, device drivers, diagnostic tools, servers, windowing systems, utilities and more. The purpose of systems software is to insulate the applications programmer as much as possible from the details of the particular computer complex being used, especially memory and other hardware features, and such as accessory devices as communications, printers, readers, displays, keyboards, etc.

* Programming software usually provides tools to assist a programmer in writing computer programs and software using different programming languages in a more convenient way. The tools include text editors, compilers, interpreters, linkers, debuggers, and so on. An Integrated development environment (IDE) merges those tools into a software bundle, and a programmer may not need to type multiple commands for compiling, interpreting, debugging, tracing, and etc., because the IDE usually has an advanced graphical user interface, or GUI.

* Application software allows end users to accomplish one or more specific (non-computer related) tasks. Typical applications include industrial automation, business software, educational software, medical software, databases, and computer games. Businesses are probably the biggest users of application software, but almost every field of human activity now uses some form of application software

Users often see things differently than programmers. People who use modern general purpose computers (as opposed to embedded systems, analog computers, supercomputers, etc.) usually see three layers of software performing a variety of tasks: platform, application, and user software.

Platform software

Platform includes the firmware, device drivers, an operating system, and typically a graphical user interface which, in total, allow a user to interact with the computer and its peripherals (associated equipment). Platform software often comes bundled with the computer. On a PC you will usually have the ability to change the platform software.

Application software

Application software or Applications are what most people think of when they think of software. Typical examples include office suites and video games. Application software is often purchased separately from computer hardware. Sometimes applications are bundled with the computer, but that does not change the fact that they run as independent applications. Applications are almost always independent programs from the operating system, though they are often tailored for specific platforms. Most users think of compilers, databases, and other “system software” as applications.

User-written software

User software tailors systems to meet the users specific needs. User software include spreadsheet templates, word processor macros, scientific simulations, and scripts for graphics and animations. Even email filters are a kind of user software. Users create this software themselves and often overlook how important it is. Depending on how competently the user-written software has been integrated into purchased application packages, many users may not be aware of the distinction between the purchased packages, and what has been added by fellow co-workers.

What goes around, comes around

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. "I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life." "No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer.
At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel. "Is that your son?" the nobleman asked. "Yes," the farmer replied proudly. "I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of." And that he did.
Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, he graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia. What saved his life this time? Penicillin. The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.
Someone once said:
"What goes around comes around."

7 Principles of Eagles-Very Inspiring!!

Eagles were the symbol of almost all conquerors, be it Caesar or Hitler the reason is!! Read on.....

1. Eagles fly alone at a high altitude and not with sparrows or mix with other smaller birds like geese. Birds of a feather flock together. No other bird goes to the height of the eagle.

Eagles fly with eagles.

Never in a flock. Even when Moses (Old Testament Bible) went to commune with God on the mountain, he left the crowd at the foothills. Stay away from sparrows and ravens. Eagles fly with eagles.

2. Eagles have strong vision, which focuses up to 5 kilometers from the air. When an eagle sites prey- even a rodent from this distance, he narrows his focus on it and sets out to get it. No matter the obstacle, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.

3. Eagles do not eat dead things. He feeds on fresh prey. Vultures eat dead animals but not eagles.

Steer clear of outdated and old information. Do your research well always.

4. The Eagle is the only bird that loves the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the wings of the storm to rise and is pushed up higher. Once it finds the wing of the storm, the eagle stops flapping and uses the pressure of the raging storm to soar the clouds and glide. This gives the eagle an opportunity to rest its wings. In the meantime all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees. We can use the storms of our lives (obstacles, trouble, etc) to rise to greater heights.

Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably.

5. The Eagle tests before it trusts. When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she flies down to earth with the male pursuing her and she picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the male still pursuing her. Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The faster it falls, the faster he chases until he reaches it and has to catch it before it falls to the ground, then bring it back to the female eagle. The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a much higher altitude pursued by the male until she perceives it high enough, and then drops the twig for the male to chase. This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of picking the twig which shows commitment, then and only then, will she allow him to mate with her!

Whether in private life or in business, one should test commitment of people intended for partnership.

6. Eagles prepare for training. When about to lay eggs, the female and male eagle identify a place very high on a cliff where no predators can reach; the male flies to earth and at first, picks thorns and lays them on the crevice of the cliff, then flies to earth again to collect twigs which he lays in the intended nest. Then he picks thorns and lays them on top of the twigs. On them, he lays soft grass covering the thorns and then picks rugs to put on the grass. When this first layering is complete the male eagle runs back to earth and picks more thorns, grass and rugs and lays them on top of the thorns, then plucks his feathers to complete the nest.

The thorns on the outside of the nest protect it from possible intruders. Both male and female eagles participate in raising the eagle family.

The people who love us do not let us languish in sloth but push us hard to grow and prosper. Even in their seemingly bad actions they have good intentions for us.

7. When the Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as he should. When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the rocks. While there, he plucks out every feather on his body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, then he can come out.

We occasionally need to shed off old habits & items that burden us add no value to our lives.

Wonderful gift on Earth – Parents

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

Father asked his Son, "What is this?"

The Son replied "It is a crow".

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this."

The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow, a crow". At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son’s voice when he said to his Father with a rebuff.

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, "What is this?"

This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :- "Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".

While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 3 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed. So.. If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.

From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today". Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave".

Do Not See Change As A Threat, See It As An opportunity.

To Welch, change was simply a part of life, and certainly a part of business. He loved change and said that at his company, change was “in the blood” of its employees. How Welch felt about change, and how he got others at GE to feel about it, made an enormous difference in making the company so successful.

Most people don’t like change. Welch recognized this soon after taking over the company in the early 1980’s. He said that change was happening “at a much faster pace than business was reacting to it.” He knew that the great deal of change would be needed to make the company great. The problem was that most people at GE – and at other companies – did not understand why things had to change. After all, the company seemed to be doing fine.

But Welch was one of the first business leaders to “face reality.” To create the company he envisioned, Welch would have to change just about everything: the company’s focus, its products, its attitudes, behaviors, etc. Almost, nothing stayed as it was, and he created a far more flexible, far more competitive organization.

The key to making a better GE was for Welch and the rest of the company to embrace change, rather than fear it. He saw change as an opportunity, not as a threat (that idea was so important to him that he made it a part of GE’s shared values.)

In order to help your organization, and yourself, see change as an opportunity. Remember that change is a necessary thread in the fabric of life, and can bring many good things as well. Change does not always have to upset things and make things worse. In business, change is often the spark that ignites a good idea or a new business, or a revolutionary new product.

Here are some things to help you put change to work in your own work life:

Know that change is here to stay: Always know that change is with you and will never leave. If you accept that, and use it, you can gain an edge over those who do not know how to deal with change.

Expect the least expected, but move quickly to stay a step ahead: Not even Welch saw most of the things that would confront GE (e.g., the Internet). Often the difference between success and failure is getting a jump on things while competitors are regrouping.

Prepare those around you for the inevitable change that will affect their lives: Not only do you have to be prepared, so do the people around you. Talk about change in a positive light so people don’t fear it. Speak of it as an opportunity, not a threat.

“The game is going to change, and change drastically.”

attitude determines your altitude

Harvard and Stanford Universities have reported that 85% - the reason a person gets a job and gets ahead in that job is due to attitude; and only 15% is because of technical or specific skills. Interesting, isn't it?

You spent how much money on your education? And you spent how much money on building your positive attitude?

Here's an interesting thought. With the "right" attitude, you can and will develop the necessary skills. So where's your emphasis? Skill building? Attitude building? Unfortunately, "Neither" is the real answer for many people. Perhaps if more people knew how simple it is to develop and maintain a positive attitude they would invest more time doing so.

So here we go.

Five steps to staying positive in a negative world:

1. Understand that failure is an event, it is not a person. Yesterday ended last night; today is a brand new day, and it's yours. You were born to win but to be a winner you must plan to win, prepare to win, and then you can expect to win.

2. Become a lifetime student. Learn just one new word every day and in five years you will be able to talk with just about anybody about anything. When your vocabulary improves, your I.Q. goes up 100% of the time, according to Georgetown Medical School.

3. Read something informational or inspirational every day. Reading for 20 minutes at just 10 words per minute will enable you to read 20, 200-page books each year. That's 18 more than the average person reads!

What an enormous competitive advantage . . . if you'll just read for 20 minutes a day.

4. The University of Southern California reveals that you can acquire the equivalent of two years of a college education in three years just by listening to motivational and educational cassettes on the way to your job and again on the way home. What could be easier?

5. Start the day and end the day with positive input into your mind. Inspirational messages cause the brain to flood with feel-good-about-yourself neurotransmitter. Begin and end the day by reading or doing something positive!

Remember: Success is a process, not an event. Invest the time in your attitude and it will pay off in your skills as well as your career.

Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

GOOD BOSS

Scientists at the Rocket launching station in Thumba, were in the habit of working for nearly 12 to 18 hours a day. There were about seventy such scientists working on a project. All the scientists were really frustrated due to the pressure of work and the demands of their boss but everyone was loyal to him and did not think of quitting the job.

One day, one scientist came to his boss and told him - Sir, I have promised to my children that I will take them to the exhibition going on in our township. So I want to leave the office at 5 30 pm. His boss replied - O K, you are permitted to leave the office early today. The Scientist started working. He continued his work after lunch. As usual he got involved to such an extent that he looked at his watch when he felt he was close to completion. The time was 8.30 pm.

Suddenly he remembered of the promise he had given to his children. He looked for his boss, He was not there. Having told him in the morning itself, he closed everything and left for home. Deep within himself, he was feeling guilty for having disappointed his children. He reached home. Children were not there. His wife alone was sitting in the hall and reading magazines. The situation was explosive, and he thought any talk would boomerang on him.

His wife asked him - Would you like to have coffee or shall I straight away serve dinner if you are hungry. The man replied - If you would like to have coffee, I too will have but what about Children???
Wife replied- You don't know - Your manager came at 5 15 pm and has taken the children to the exhibition.

What had really happened was, The boss who granted him permission was observing him working seriously at 5.00 pm. He thought to himself, this person will not leave the work, but if he has promised his children they should enjoy the visit to exhibition. So he took the lead in taking them to exhibition The boss does not have to do it every time. But once it is done, loyalty is established. That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued to work under their boss even though the stress was tremendous.

By the way , can you hazard a guess as to who the boss was????????

live, but one day at a time-adding value to your life !!!

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance; Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born.

This leaves only one day, Today. Any person can fight the battle of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities, Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad, it is the bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

Let us, therefore, live but one day at a time.

What to and what not to..

It has always been a predicament for me - To do what I want to do the most, or just do what everybody like me does??

It is an enormous unanswered question in my life, that has now grown in size like a tumor. I know that the greatest achievement in life is achieving happiness and this through eace of mind. And again, this peace of mind through doing what appelas to you most. But thats what puts my mind into an inexplicable jamborie of indecisiveness, apathy towards jobs as such, and some more feelings of incredible hatred to come. In the four years of graduation time, I have been in jobs that I love to do, and also jobs that I have hated with all my heart

I think it is high time I did what my heart says !

NEED ANOTHER DIMENSION . . . .???

somebody said " a fish, out of the water, came to the land to catch something in air". Sounds funny!!! but it is not the fish but the human whose evolution was started in water and it took millions of years to enter and survive on land. And now we are going into the outer space to catch something. we can say "The new evolution " started. Rather it is better to say " Evolution" continues....In detail, not only human but also millions of species evolved and humans are one of them. Now, we bother about others species (as we are humans, just kidding.) and their evolution on earth and even else where in the universe.

I had a doubt. Why life begin? why don't the universe exist without a life. why the universe begin?? and how it began?? Usually we don't have answers to such kind of questions. Beauty will be remained only if they are left as a questions. I think so.....(i came to know from news channels, that scientist are making the re-occurrence of big bang after a few hours, to know answers to above questions. They say, if it is a failure, you don't exist to read this blog and even i too don't exists for further updates.)

Just leaving the odds to the scientists (people call them so..)we will continue......just concerning what we really know....

WHAT DOES WE REALLY KNOW

Till now, we know there are four dimensions- three dimensional space and time. (people before a few centuries know this fact but they don't know how to figure it out. They thought that land covers the everything in the universe and sun gives rays from top of it. just like flatten earth is under us and sun is above us. But now, we know what is shape of the earth and what is solar system, galaxy etc.)With the very basics, we will, just find the space and time relation at very low level. Here we go..............

Consider our solar system having some planets( not exactly know how many, but sure earth is one of it.). just before finding out the relation between space and time, we must know what is space and what is time. we know space contains three dimensions( x,y,z) and they can be easily measured with any calibrated instruments and even with fingers. now, think about the "Time". nothing hard ,but just how do we measure it??? by clock, a calibrated instrument. Even with out it we can measure time, like time gap between one sunrise and the next(it was calibrated as 24 hrs approx).so we can now say this time will change with the speed of rotation of earth.( Did u remember that time period of rotation of earth depends on its radius and its mass respectively).
so we can say time period of earth depends on its mass and and its radius ( if we assume earth is spherical). so we can say time period of earth te which is at a distance D from the center of the sun whose radius is R and having mass m can be written as a function as follows
te = f(D,R,M) ......................(i)
D= distance between centers of sun and earth.
R= radius of earth
M= mass of earth
At present we don't know how they are proportional, but know that they are related. doesn't it seems to be funny neglecting everything else in the solar system except sun and earth??? ya.. foolish..so let them present now. what they will do if they present?? just exerting force on other bodies( according to the apple on the newtons head, it is attractive force).so introduction of some passive bodies in the space results in attractive force between each other,in fact, between every two bodies according to the newtons law. so, the speed and the direction at which body is traveling, at every instant, is the resultant of all vector forces acting on it. Fortunately, in our solar system the objects(planets and stars) had acquired certain trajectory due to force acting between every two objects (force is proportional to product of masses and inversely proportion to square of distance between them) inside solar system. Here we assume that no external forces acting on this solar system. so, the resultant vector force on earth decides its trajectory and its traveling speed(speed of revolution around sun) which further effect its time period. hence we can say the time period of earth depends not only on the D, R, M but also on the resultant vector force acting on it. so equation (i) can be modified as follows

te = f(D,R,M,F)
F = vector force;
The more generalized equation of time period of any object is obtained but replacing the physical dimensions (D,R) with 3D co-ordinates (x,y,z).
Distance from the sun to the center of object(planet) ,D is replace by function of X,Y,Z assuming center of sun as origin.(it is so because our solar system is heliocentric with sun at the center).

the radius (dimensions) of the object(planet) at a point A at a distance D from the sun is too replaced with 3d co-ordinates, assuming center of object as origin, since we must not always expect an object to be spherical. And its shape is given by some function f2(x,y,z).

finally, we can conclude that the time period of any object in a solar system depends on its own dimensions, its mass, the resultant force acting on it and its position from center of that solar system.
t
o= f { f1(X,Y,Z), f2(x,y,z), M, F
}

To obtain the relation between space and time, we studied half side of the time, time of a passive objects where the passive force, force between two masses, exists. fortunately, there exists a active force which do not obey the planetary laws like the planets which always needs to travel in certain trajectories with certain speed. In the next post we'll see the other side of time. If possible we discuss about the active force and passive force and the relation between them in a few days...

post a comment if there is something wrong, right or something interesting and need further clarification. :)

A Motivational Story with Wisdom -

Hi guys i want to share one beautifull inspirational story of a girl written by Jackie Sagner & the story is Keep your Eye On The Ball
the story follows ........

As a little girl my father loved to play catch with me. I wasn't very good at it but he would play anyway. He was always telling me " keep your eye on the ball" as I would not be able to catch even the easiest of throws.

As I got older, we didn't play catch as much. If I had a problem and would go to my father and ask for his advice, he would try to make a joke with me and say" keep your eye on the ball". We would both laugh because usually that advice did not apply to the problem, but he would just try to make me smile.

My father became ill in 1995 when I was 23. There weren't any more conversations, as he was paralyzed from having a stroke. He could not speak; he could only mouth words which were sometimes hard to understand. I seemed to be pretty good at reading his lips after a while, even better than the nurses that were caring for him.

During one of our last conversations, I was telling him about a problem I was having with my then boyfriend. Once again, I could read his lips, "Keep your eye on the ball" he said, we both chuckled. That was the last time I saw my father before he passed away.

Sometimes now, all those years later when I get in a stressful situation I just tell myself "keep your eye on the ball."

ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!

why me ??

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player, was dying of CANCER. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease?"

To this Arthur Ashe replied…. " world over –
5 crore children start playing tennis,
50 lakh learn to play tennis,
5 lakh learn professional tennis,
50,000 come to the circuit,
5000 reach ,
50 reached grand slam Wimbledon,
4 to the semifinals,
2 to the finals.

When I was holding a cup, I never asked GOD "Why me?" And today in pain I should not be asking GOD"Why me?"

Falling short of Boss's expectation

A butcher watching over his shop is really surprised when he saw a dog coming inside the shop. He shoes him away. But later, the dog is back again. So, he goes over to the dog and notices he has a note in his mouth. He takes the note and it reads "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, please. The dog has money in his mouth, as well".

The butcher looks inside and, behold, a ten dollar note. So he takes the money and puts the sausages and lamb in a bag, placing it in the dog's mouth.
The butcher is so impressed, and since it's about closing time, he decides to shut up shop and follow the dog. So off he goes.

The dog is walking down the street when he comes to a level crossing. The dog puts down the bag, jumps up and presses the button. Then he waits patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They do, and he walks across the road, with the butcher following him all the way. The dog then comes to a bus stop, and starts looking at the timetable. The butcher is in awe at this stage. The dog checks out the times, and then sits on one of the seats provided. Along comes a bus. The dog walks around to the front, looks at the number, and goes back to his seat. Another bus comes. Again the dog goes and looks at the number, notices it's the right bus, and climbs on.

The butcher, by now, open-mouthed, follows him onto the bus. The bus travels through the town and out into the suburbs, the dog looking at the scenery. Eventually he gets up, and moves to the front of the bus. He stands on 2 back paws and pushes the button to stop the bus. Then he gets off, his groceries still in his mouth.

Well, dog and butcher are walking along the road, and then the dog turns into a house. He walks up the path, and drops the groceries on the step. Then he walks back down the path, takes a big run, and throws himself against the door. He goes back down the path, runs up to the door and again, it throws himself against it. There's no answer at the house, so the dog goes back down the path, jumps up on a narrow wall, and walks along the perimeter of the garden. He gets to the window, and beats his head against it several times, walks back, jumps off, and waits at the door.

The butcher watches as a big guy opens the door, and starts abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and swearing at him. The butcher runs up, and stops the guy. "What in heaven's name are you doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me!" to which the guy responds:"You call this clever? This is the second time this week that this stupid dog's forgotten his key."

MORAL OF THE STORY:
You may continue to exceed onlookers' expectations but shall always fall short of the boss's expectations!!

Stretch yourself

As a college student, George studied very hard and always late in the night... So late that he overslept one morning, arriving 20 minutes late for class. He quickly copied the two math problems on the board, assuming they were the homework assignment. It took him several days to work through the two problems but finally he had a breakthrough and dropped the homework on the professor's desk the next day. Later, on a Sunday morning, George was awakened at 6 a.m. by his excited professor

Since George was late for class, he hadn't heard the professor announce that the two unsolvable equations on the board were mathematical mind teasers that even Einstein hadn't been able to answer. But George Dantzig, working without any thoughts of limitation, had solved not one, but two problems that had stumped mathematicians for thousands of years.

Simply put, George solved the problems because he didn't know he couldn't.

MORAL OF THE STORY:!!! "Stretch yourself to the maximum to know your limits”!!! Don't judge those who try and fail, judge those who fail to try.

simple solutions for seemingly complex problems

A girl who changed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one!

Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune Of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender.

The Moneylender who was old and ugly fancied the farmer's beautiful Daughter. So he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his Daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the Proposal.

So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let Providence decide the matter.

He told them that he would put a black Pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag.

1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven.

2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven.

3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into Jail.

They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer's field. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two Black pebbles and put them into the bag.

He then asked the girl to pick A pebble from the bag. Now, imagine that you were standing in the field. What would you have done if you were the girl?

If you had to advise her, what would you have told her?

Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.

Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral And logical thinking.

The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers.

What would you recommend to the Girl to do?

Well, here is what she did ....

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without Looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.

"Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the Bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I Picked."

Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY:Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don't Attempt to think.

This is a story about a famous research scientist who had made several very important medical breakthroughs. He was being interviewed by a newspaper reporter who asked him why he thought he was able to be so much more creative than the average person. What set him so far apart from others?

He responded that, in his opinion, it all came from an experience with his mother that occurred when he was about two years old. He had been trying to remove a bottle of milk from the refrigerator when he lost his grip on the slippery bottle and it fell, spilling its contents all over the kitchen floor—a veritable sea of milk!

When his mother came into the kitchen, instead of yelling at him, giving him a lecture, or punishing him, she said, 'Robert, what a great and wonderful mess you have made! I have rarely seen such a huge puddle of milk. Well, the damage has already been done.

Would you like to get down and play in the milk for a few minutes before we clean it up?'

Indeed, he did. After a few minutes, his mother said, 'You know, Robert, whenever you make a mess like this, eventually you have to clean it up and restore everything to its proper order. So, how would you like to do that? We could use a sponge, a towel, or a mop. Which do you prefer?' He chose the sponge and together they cleaned up the spilled milk.

His mother then said, 'You know, what we have here is a failed experiment in how to effectively carry a big milk bottle with two tiny hands. Let's go out in the back yard and fill the bottle with water and see if you can discover a way to carry it without dropping it.' The little boy learned that if he grasped the bottle at the top near the lip with both hands, he could carry it without dropping it. What a wonderful lesson!

This renowned scientist then remarked that it was at that moment that he knew he didn't need to be afraid to make mistakes. Instead, he learned that mistakes were just opportunities for learning something new, which is, after all, what scientific experiments are all about. Even if the experiment 'doesn't work,' we usually learn something valuable from it.

how you use what you have

Madan Mohan Malviya was trying to build a good university; he had to overcome many difficulties and barriers. He worked with determination to start the university. There was a funds crisis; but he did not get disheartened. He went from town to town, met many rich people and traders to collect donations. He went to the Nizam of Hyderabad to request him for funds. The Nizam was furious, 'How dare you come to me for funds... that too for a Hindu university?' he roared with anger and took off his footwear and flung it at Malviya. Malviya picked up the footwear and left silently. He came directly to the market place and began to auction the footwear. As it was the Nizam's footwear, many came forward to buy it. The price went up. When Nizam heard of this, he became uneasy. He thought it would be an insult if his footwear were to be bought by someone for a pittance. So he sent one of his attendants with the instruction, 'Buy that footwear no matter what the bidding price be!'

Thus, Malviya managed to sell the Nizam's own footwear to him, for a huge amount. He used that money to build the BenaresHinduUniversity.

Moral: It is not what you have, but it is how you use what you have that makes the difference in your life

1/2 Second before Tsunami..............................

The last picture! There are people who believe in God, there are others who don't believe, but we must understand that we are small when nature hits...

This picture was taken on the banks of Sumatra Island (the height of waves was of approx. 32 m = 105 ft).

It was found saved in a digital camera, 1 1/2 years or two after the disaster.

We cannot know for sure, but very likely the one who took the picture is not alive any more (it was just a matter of seconds).

Today we can see the last image he/ she saw before ending life on Earth

you can do it, no matter where you are

An old man lived alone. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his predicament. Dear Son: I am feeling pretty bad, because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison. Love, DadShortly, the old man received this telegram "For HEAVEN'S SAKE, Dad, don't dig up the garden! That's where I buried the GUNS!"At 4 A.M. the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police officers showed up and started digging up the entire garden without finding any guns. Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what had happened and asking him what to do next. His son's reply was "Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad, It's the best I could do for you from here."

- Moral Of the Story - NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART, YOU CAN DO IT. IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS NOT WHERE YOU ARE OR WHERE THE PERSON IS.

Painful syndrome..

Childhood is perhaps the best part of my life.

Seeing the neighbor's kids play rekindled old-time emotions and grey notions in me, that pointed out that childhood innocence is best - so untouched and so unanticipative. No apprehensions, no hatred, no love, no emotions so rigid, such simplicity all gathered to form the ultimate happy part of life ! Childhood is a divine gift I would say.

Growing up is perhaps the most painful part, and even more painful than that is perhaps the revelation that we go through !

TRUE FRIENDSHIP – FILTERS

In ancient, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem.
One day one fellow met the great and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?".
"Hold on a minute," Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test.".
"Triple filter?".
"That's right," Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and...".
"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?" .
"No, on the contrary...".
"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really." "Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"

Lesson: Well we can always participate in loose talks to curb our boredom. But when it comes to you friends its not worth it. Always avoid talking behind the back about your near and dear friends.

Everything Happens For The Good

There was once a King who had a wise advisor. The advisor followed the King everywhere, and his favorite advice was, “Everything happens for the good”. One day the King went hunting and had a little accident. He shot an arrow at his own foot and was injured. He asked the advisor what he thought about the accident, to which the advisor replied, “Everything happens for the good”. This time the King was really upset and ordered for his advisor to be put in prison. The King asked his advisor, “Now, what do you think?” The advisor again replied, “Everything happens for the good”. So the advisor remained in prison.

The King later went on a hunting trip, this time without the advisor. The King was then captured by some cannibals. He was taken to the cannibals' camp where he was to be the evening meal for the cannibals. Before putting him into the cooking pot he was thoroughly inspected. The cannibals saw the wound on the King’s foot and decided to throw him back into the jungle. According to the cannibals' tradition, they would not eat anything that was imperfect. As a result the King was spared. The King suddenly realized what his advisor said was true. The advisor also escaped death because had he not been in prison, he would have followed the King on the hunting trip, and would have ended up in the cooking pot.

Dr. Randy Pausch's last lecture

I have been very deeply inspired by Dr. Pausch's last lecture. The video has been widely circulated and viewed by almost everyone in the fraternity. I decided to set down in writing my favorite parts from the speech. I could think of no better place than my blog.

Quoting Dr. Pausch:

Remember brick walls let us show our dedication. They are there to separate us from the people who don’t really want to achieve their childhood dreams. Don’t bail. The best of the gold’s at the bottom of barrels of crap

Get a feedback loop and listen to it. Your feedback loop can be this dorky spreadsheet thing I did, or it can just be one great man who tells you what you need to hear. The hard part is the listening to it.

Anybody can get chewed out. It's the rare person who says, oh my god, you were right. As opposed to, no wait, the real reason is... We’ve all heard that. When people give you feedback, cherish it and use it.

Show gratitude. When I got tenure I took all of my research team down to Disneyworld for a week. And one of the other professors at Virginia said, how can you do that? I said these people just busted their ass and got me the best job in the world for life. How could I not do that?

Don't complain. Just work harder.

Be good at something, it makes you valuable.

Work hard. I got tenure a year early as Steve mentioned. Junior faculty members used to say to me, wow, you got tenure early. What's your secret? I said, it's pretty simple. Call me any Friday night in my office at ten o’clock and I'll tell you.

Find the best in everybody. You might have to wait a long time, sometimes years, but people will show you their good side. Just keep waiting no matter how long it takes. No one is all evil. Everybody has a good side, just keep waiting, it will come out.

Be prepared. Luck is truly where preparation meets opportunity

So today's talk was about my childhood dreams, enabling the dreams of others, and some lessons learned. But did you figure out the head fake? --- It's not about how to achieve your dreams. It's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you.

Jodhpur Muslims help temple stampede victims

Jodhpur Muslims help temple stampede victims (Oct 2, 2008, Hindustan Times)
From ferrying victims to hospitals, to spontaneously queuing up for blood donation, the Muslim community in the city was one with its Hindu friends after Tuesday's stampede at the Chamunda Devi temple. At least 186 devotees died in the stampede tragedy at Mehrangarh Fort on the first day of the Navratra festival. The death toll went up to 186 as several families who had refrained from bringing the bodies to hospitals for post-mortem on Monday, reported the deaths at police stations. " As per records, 186 deaths have been confirmed," divisional commissioner Jodhpur, Kiran Soni Gupta said.

Muslim youth were seen attending to patients prior to the arrival of family members and queuing up for blood donation. Close to 3.5 lakh of Jodhpur's 13 lakh population are Muslim. "We are all creations of Allah who doesn't differentiate between Hindus and Muslims,'' said 22-year-old college student Arif Mohammad, one of the first to reach the site with his classmates Raju Khan and Sadiq Khan.

"In solidarity with our Hindu brethren who have lost family members,we have decided not to celebrate Eid on Thursday,'' said Sadiq in a choked voice. The majority of taxi drivers are Muslim and they did not charge for taking victims to hospitals. "It was our duty. Religion can't divide us on such a tragic occasion," said Mohammad Sadiq, a taxi driver.

Muslim tailor, Hindu clerk and police transform lives (Oct 1, 2008, Hindustan Times)

The struggling Muslim tailor and the Hindu school clerk met in the backdrop of the deadly communal riots in Mumbai 15 years ago, a quick friendship was struck that would transform the lives of thousands of others. As death swept through Mumbai's poverty-choked underbelly of Dharavi, India's largest slum, Waqar Khan, 24, ran into Ramchandra Korde, 54, both weary after witnessing violence between communities who live there elbow-to-elbow. Both struck a close friendship that expanded into a mohalla (neighbourhood) committee, Mumbai's most prominent signpost of religious amity - in a sprawling city within a city that has not seen a single religious skirmish over the past 15 years. The experiment that was undertaken to ensure peace between Hindus and Muslims is now helping combat terrorism and its aftermath.

Moral of the story: Cooperation of people with the police is the biggest weapon again terrorism, especially in a country where the neighbourhood beat constable, the frontline soldier against terror, has become all but a relic. The experiment in Mumbai - like community policing experiments in other parts of the country (see box) - shows how people can prevent terrorist attacks with close interaction with the police, and prevent a violent religious flare-up. "Every time there is any kind of tension, we're on alert. Around 100 of us start moving around in the neighbourhood, quelling rumours and initiating a dialogue with youngsters in mixed groups,'' said Khan.

The story began with one police officer in 1988 in the powerloom town of Bhiwandi outside Mumbai, as BJP leader L.K. Advani had started talking about his rath yatra. Tension spread. Suresh Khopde, then deputy commissioner of police, set up 70-odd mohalla committees. "The idea was to just break the prejudices and get the members of the two communities to interact... once in 15 days,'' said Khopde. It worked. Four years later in 1992-93, even as Mumbai burned twice after the Babri Masjid demolition, Bhiwandi, despite a history of communal riots, was calm. Not a stone was thrown. Khopde's experiment became the subject for social scientists. "The signal to field officers is to do better community policing and to engage with people . It's the only way to keep a tab on a city of 14 million," said AV Parasnis, Maharashtra' s secretary for law and order.

Khopde, now Additional Commissioner of Police (north region), is convinced that a similar initiative will help the city fight terror. Khopde has expanded mohalla committees in his area in western suburbs to enrol 30,000 Mumbaikars. "Our access to what is happening in a locality is so much better today,'' said Jayant Hargude, inspector of communally sensitive Malvani, in Malad, who reports to Khopde. And half the battle would be won if attitudes changed, Khan said. "I think everyone in our community wants to know why and how youngsters are being seduced towards terror."

Rainbow

Rainbow Bridge
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water, and warm Spring weather. Those old and frail animals are young again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other. But there is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
I have set my rainbow in the clouds,
and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

A rainbow in the morning
Is the Shepherd's warning,
But a rainbow at night
Is the Shepherd's delight.

O beautiful rainbow, all woven of light!
There's not in thy tissue one shadow of night;
Heaven surely is open when thou dost appear.
And bending thee above, the angels draw near and sing,
"The rainbow! the rainbow! The smile of God is here."

It takes both the sun and the rain to make a beautiful rainbow.

Rainbow Paintbox

I can see a rainbow,
see it in the sky, see it when the rain has gone away.
All the colors of the rainbow in the sky so high,
I can name them all for you today:
Red there is, a rosy red, a red so bright and bonny,
and orange as a tiger lily leaf, so bold and tawny,
yellow as the blazing sun, that gives us all our light,
and green as grass beneath our feet,
blue as the sky so bright.
There's indigo, as dark as night,
and violet like flowers.
These are the colors nature paints the sky
with after showers.

Hung on the shower that fronts the golden West,
The rainbow bursts like magic on mine eyes!
In hues of ancient promise there imprest,
Frail in its date, eternal in its guise.

Triumphal arch, that fills the sky when storms prepare to part,
I ask not proud Philosophy to teach me what thou art.

Seven roses for seven days!
Now they're over, I go my ways;
With me the thought of a good week goes,
Every day was a rainbow rose.

Walk on a rainbow trail,
walk on a trail of song and all about you will be beauty.
There is a way out of every dark mist, over a rainbow trail.

God put the rainbow in the clouds, not just in the sky. It is wise to realize we already have rainbows in our clouds, or we wouldn't be here. If the rainbow is in the clouds, then in the worst of time, there is the possibility of seeing hope... We can say 'I can be a rainbow in the cloud for someone yet to be.' That may be our calling.

When I Look At The Rainbow

Lord when I look at the Rainbow you have placed in sky so
blue, it reminds me that all your promises are true
Your Rainbow reminds me that those who believe on you
are few, yet you have called us your little Ewe
Lord when I look at the Rainbow I see it's hue, it reminds
me that your love for us true
Your Rainbow in sky so blue, reminds me to keep praying
through
Lord when I look at the Rainbow it reminds me of your
promise to all of your creatures some of whom are of
different features
Your Rainbow and it's many colors reminds me that it
represents some whom are called colored
Lord when I look at your Rainbow and see how it's colors
are bright, it reminds me to do what is right
Your Rainbow I have never seen at night, this reminds me
to stay in the light
Lord when I look at your Rainbow it reminds me of your grief
because of our unbelief
Your Rainbow have no pot of gold, but your wonderful story
of love it has told
Lord when I Look at your Rainbow it reminds that you
promised to never again destroy the World with a flood
Your Rainbow to me is a sign of your love it represents
your Son's life Blood
